The Lost Sea

Well I decided to take Eli to a local attraction today that we had never been today. It is called the lost sea adventure and consists of a guided walk in cave and boat ride in an underground lake. Eli is pretty excitable anyway, so during the tour he got pretty talkative. This one woman in our group who is Ms. super interested and asking lots of questions decides to shush Eli once when he was talking. OK, I can ignore this once. So we go on with our tour and make our way to the boat, which is the part Eli is most excited about. Where do they sit Eli and I, right next to Ms. Inquisitive. Here we go in this little boat in a dark cave onto the underground lake. The tour guide starts his tour and Eli gets excited about a large fish he sees and talks a little loud and before I can even ask him to quiet down, this lady shushes him again. I give her a nasty look and keep my cool for the moment. At this time I can feel my redneck roots coming to the surface. Eli is actually being pretty good for the situation and his age but can be very talkative. And...... Oh No she didn't just do it again. So here I go and fly off at the mouth, "Excuse me, I don't need your help, do not shush my child, I can handle it just fine without your help" She quickly apologizes probably thinking to herself crazy, pregnant TN redneck. Oh well, we finished the rest of the tour without any more crap from her. Overall we had a decent time. Way to educational and not enough entertainment for this ADD girl. Lesson learned.
